Sophomore forward Christine Sinclair of the University of Portland was unstoppable on the soccer field this season. She led her team to the NCAA championship, scoring both goals in the 2-0 title match. In the six tournament games, Christine totaled 10 goals and one assist, and her season total of 26 goals helped her team achieve a 20-4-2 record. For her standout abilities, she was named the tournament's most valuable offensive player, and also earned the title of West Coast Conference Player of the Year. Christine also scored high off the field, earning Academic All-American honors for her 3.78 GPA in Life Sciences. Honda is honored to present Christine with the Honda Award for being the Most Outstanding Collegiate Woman Athlete in Soccer for 2002-2003.
