Jessica Martin Jessica Martin, a swimmer from Truman State University, has been named the Division II Honda Award winner. She helped lead her team to a NCAA Division II National Championship by winning four individual events. She also swam the second leg of the winning 200-yard relay and anchored the title-winning 800-yard freestyle relay squad.

Martin, a senior from Buckingham, Iowa, finished first at the NCAA Division II Swimming Championships in the 200-, 500-, 1000- and 1,650-yard freestyles. She finished more than a lap ahead of her nearest competitor in the 1000 freestyle with a NCAA Division II record setting time of 9:55:86. She set school records in the 500-yard freestyle and the mile and was part of Truman's record-breaking and championship 200- and 800-yard freestyle relay teams. Martin was named the NCAA Division II women's swimmer of the year by the College Swimming Coaches Association of America, completing her career as a national champion in a total of seven events.
